Executive Director

Christabel Stuart is a creative community builder and storyteller that hails from a musical family whose roots run seven generations deep in Middle Tennessee. She is current show producer for the Bell Witch Fall Festival and has served on multiple arts based non-profit boards and committees including Historic Amqui Station, Madison Arts Crawl and Daybreak Arts in Nashville.

She is the owner of Highland Holler Heritage Arts and founder of Haints and Heroes, A Celebration of Storytelling in the American South. Bel has over thirty years of experience producing immersive events on location and has performed all over the United States and United Kingdom. She is passionate about providing relevant social and spiritual context to important points in Tennessee Women’s History including Suffrage, the Civil Rights Movement and the Bell Witch Haunting. Current and upcoming projects include an original musical, SAYRE, which is set in the present day Athens of the South at an open mic night and draws inspiration from the Muses of Greek mythology.

Bel is thrilled to accept her appointment as the Executive Director of Willow Oak Center for Arts & Learning. She joins her staff, board and founder Muzetta in 2025 where they will continue to serve a multi-cultural community through accessible arts enrichment programming and events. She would like to thank her husband Chris, friends and family for always supporting her relentless pursuit of creative expression and adventure.
