Theater Intensive • June 8 • Upcoming Grades 5th-12th

Offered as a precursor for the theater summer camp, this is an introductory intensive on the basics of theater, including acting, improvisation, character development, dramatic reading, blocking, and stage directions as well as theater terminology and etiquette. Beginner Art Camp • June 3-7 • Upcoming Grades 2nd-4th

Step into the vibrant world of art history with our week-long camp! From the timeless beauty of ancient stone sculpture to the bold expressions of modern art movements, students will immerse themselves in the fascinating evolution of human creativity. Through hands-on experience in drawing, clay, DIY projects, and more, they will not only deepen their understanding of art history, but also develop valuable artistic skills in observation, composition, and creative expression. Intermediate Art Camps • June 10-14 • Upcoming Grades 5th-8th

Throughout this intermediate camp, we will dive into the art of creating three-dimensional masterpieces that truly come to life. From molding clay into finished pieces to crafting relief sculptures, every moment will be a chance to push the boundaries of students’ artistic talents. As we explore a variety of mediums such as paper crafts, cardboard, and wire sculpting, they will discover new ways to express themselves and bring their ideas into the physical world. Advanced Art Camp • June 17-21 • Upcoming Grades 5th-9th

In advanced art camp students will gain experience and knowledge in different art mediums such as pencil and colored pencil, acrylic and watercolor paints, a variety of pastels and charcoals, sculpture, and weaving and fiber arts. Students will complete 3-4 projects a day that will help them learn how to master these mediums in a variety of ways. June 17-21 | 9 am – 3 pm | Instructed by Mark Schlipp | $210

Theater Camp • June 24-28 • Upcoming Grades 5th-12th

During this theater summer camp, students will hone their life skills of teamwork, patience, and self-control as they make new friends and unlock their unique artistic talents in this fun yet challenging theater environment. Students will put together a super fun mini-musical of Stone Soup. The second week they will step into the role of playwright, actor, director, stage manager, or designer, learning to put all the pieces together for a play adapted from children’s literature. The camp will end with a performance on Friday, June 28 at 3 PM! June 24-28 | 9 am – 3 pm | Instructed by Karen Baucom | $210

 

Theater Camp

Beginner Art Camp • July 8-12 • Upcoming Grades 2nd-4th

Paint, clay, charcoal, pastels, and more! Beginner Art Camp will introduce students to a variety of artistic media and build on new or existing skills. Campers will have 3-4 projects each day that allow them to be creative, express themselves, and show off their new skills. Students will complete a mixed-media study of a subject of their choosing throughout the week to build new skills in unfamiliar media and to practice new perspectives! Subjects can be anything the students chooses: outer space, horses, frogs, Mac ‘n Cheese, etc. July 8-12 | 9 am – 3 pm | Instructed by Martha Haley | $210

Intermediate Art Camp • July 15th-19th • Upcoming Grades 5th-8th 

This hands-on creative course is an introduction to the elements and principles of visual arts utilizing a variety of art techniques and mediums such as charcoal, pastels, watercolor, pen and ink, acrylic paint, mixed media, and 3D projects. We want students to have the desire, ability, and confidence to express themselves creatively. Join us at Willow Oak!
